Went for another 'test hike' today with all of the gear. Snapped a few still photos with the new photo rig, and a video as well which I'll share at the end of the post. Already considering dropping a convienence item or two, but I won't make any decisions until I get down to Georgia.
Weather today was on par with what we expect to see down south, which means it'll be straight up balmy out compared to what the Maine winter has been tossing us the past month. My decision to change from a zero degree monster heavy bag to a lighter-weight 25 degree bag might just pay off.
And for those counting ounces and pounds, as of today's writing my winter base weight is approximately 22.59 pounds. But after adding 5 days of food, dog food and water, it shoots up to somewhere around 43.69 pounds.
