Day started off walking through the carnage from the prior day's thunder-hail-storm. Ground was littered with all sorts of green leaves that had been torn off from the hail, and plenty of newly-downed trees and branches littered the trail.
Clothes were still wet this morning from yesterday's storm, so I walked with wet feet all day even though we were blessed with merely a drizzle today. I was able to dry my other pair of socks on the outside of my pack though, so at least I should have a dry feet until he next time it rains.
My original plan leaving Daleville was to head into Glascow, VA today for a resupply, but since I got to this point faster than expected I continued on. Going to head into Buena Vista, VA tomorrow instead, grab some groceries and a hot meal, and bounce out of town to continue north.
Happy 800 miles!
