Early morning. The hiker who showed up last night set an alarm for before sunrise. Plus, it cooled off pretty severely early in the morning so I was already partially awake anyway.
Packed up and out before sun rise. Had to wear my beanie, rain jacket, and glove liners until well after noon since the temperature refused to rise above fifty degrees. No wet dewy grass like yesterday, thankfully.
Starting to get frustrated walking this trail. The blazing is so inconsistent that it defeats the purpose of even putting them up.
Rest of the day was spent road walking. Thirty plus miles of straight roads today and tomorrow.
Currently directly next to the road, wedged between a clump of trees and some barbed wire. It's as good as any spot I could have hoped for, concealed from the road. Hopefully no one spots me, going to be hella cold tonight and I'd hate to get booted in the middle of the night.
Cows in this field are staring right into my tent, like, five feet away from me. Here's to hoping they go their separate ways this evening and don't sit there mooing at me all night.
I do have pretty spectacular view across this field though. Facing due west, I can see the moon low in the sky as the sun's setting, painting the sky in its final orange and reds before going dark.
