Chilly night last night, but I managed. Slept with every piece of clothing I brought with me but that's my layering system and it works.
Packed up quick, had to get moving to beat the chill. Ended up wearing my beanie, rain jacket, and glove liners for most of the morning until it warmed up a bit.
Majority of the day was on roads, quite a bit of it a divided two lane in either direction highway. Definitely not very fun.
Trail Angel Trucker Bob showed up again today. We met previously In Okeechobee as I was walking out of town, and he was able to come back to the trail for a bit once again. We chatted on the side of the road for a good 30-40 minutes, and he filled up a water bottle for me. Since he was going to be driving back through later, he offered to charge my battery pack in his truck and even offered to get me something from the store. I gratefully accepted and asked for a Coke.
He returned a few hours later in the heat of the day, tossed me my battery pack and as he was driving away he slammed on the brakes and gave me the Coke. Couldn't ask for more!
Near the end of the day I finally made it back into some wilderness, and am camping tonight aboard the Tosohatchee Wilderness Management Area.
Resupply day tomorrow, really looking forward to some hot food, even if it is only some gas station chow.
