Day: 33

Date: 02 Feb 2018 10:11PM EST

Location: Camping near mile 587.6

Today's Miles: 26.9

Total Miles: 587.6

Didn't sleep well at all last night. Between the loud noises from the local bar, to being in a strange building with doors and windows all over the place, I didn't get to sleep until around 0430.

Up at 0730, other hiker was already gone. Not in a rush and with electrical outlets, I called the wife as I packed. Returned the keys to the place, walked next door, grabbed myself a delicious breakfast st the IGA. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, double portion of grits, hash browns, two kielbasas, and another biscuit.

Six mile road walk out of town, then many dirt roads for most of the day. Managed to find a little gas station late into the evening, grabbed a burger and fries before heading into the Osceola National Forest.

Did some night hiking this evening to make up for the late start this morning. That, and I didn't feel like stopping yet when the sun went down.

One of the most therapeutic things about being out on trail is the lack of an agenda. For me it starts out as trying to do too much too fast, but over time I start to get into a better rhythm and relax.

Hopefully that mentality will transfer into my normal life.
