Late start this morning. Still feeling pretty sickly, not sure if it's a cold or the flu, but I'm exhausted.
Out of camp around 0900. Couple miles in took a short blue blaze to a the Ocean Pond camping area for water and bathrooms.
Osceola is a nice park, nothing eventful. Spent the majority of the day walking on forest service roads which were super rutted and mostly under water. Another day spent with wet feet.
As it was getting dark I took a half mile side trip to a small convience store with a small restaurant bolted onto the side. Bumped into the hiker from a Lake Butler, he decided to camp for the evening there, use the hot shower, and recharge.
We ate dinner together before parting ways. Off I walked into the darkness, my goal another six miles or so where a gentleman built a shelter for hikers on his private land.
Arrived just after 2030 to a nice screened in shelter with a few pieces of furniture and a wood stove. Unpacked, set up my things on the floor, stretched out for the night.
White Springs tomorrow, a potential low mileage day and a stay at a local B&B.
