Woke up as the sun was rising. Snacked on some cookies a friend sent and packed up my stuff. Didn't drink enough water in town, feeling it when I woke up for sure.
Full on day of hiking. Day warmed up quickly and the sun was hot and strong. Walked along the Suwannee River all day, in sight pretty much the whole time.
Stopped for a late lunch on a log and ate half a block of cheese, a package of baloney, and some cold dehydrated minute rice. I definitely prefer eating proteins over carbs out here, it's just difficult sometimes to resupply appropriately in some of these small, out of the way towns.
Hiked for a few more miles and walked right into a state campground that is for hikers and paddlers only. Don't think I've ever been to a state park that segregated patrons by use, and also was free.
Would have loved to stay, but I still had some time before sunset.
Walked for a couple more hours until I came across a small campsite wedged between two rivers on a pinsuala of sorts.
Another night alone in the Florida trail, and I prefer it that way.
