Slept in his morning until around 0800 - it was extra dark in the cabin and with my ear plugs in and buff around my eyes nothing bothered me until I woke.
Took my time getting ready, out by 0900. Walked straight through until about 1300, sat on a rock by a dirt road and ate a bunch of Cheese-Its while I dried out. Let's just say I'm looking forward to getting back to town soon.
Wet all day today, surprised at how well my feet are doing. Only aired my feet out once today and they're doing great. I have been using Vaseline on the parts that typically rub when they get wet, perhaps that's helping (thanks Stewart).
Got to the shelter, *interesting* experience. Since I flipped up north I've been encountering hikers who are almost finished with the trail. Most of them are cocky and abrasive, as if by somehow completing the trail makes them better than the other people who are out here.
Going to be another earplugs night.
