Final day on the trail.
Dropped off at Smugglers' Notch for the last push. Beautiful day, sun shining in a bright blue sky.
Walked nice and slow, took my time. Morning was up and up and up, with a few nice views along the way.
Lots of people hanging about and walking around, especially in the easily accessible and more popular spots. Good to see people getting out of the house, seems to be a trend in Vermont.
Last few miles of the day were on a logging road and on relatively flat ground. Good way to end the trip, casually walking back to civilization. Was picked up at the road by my friend who has graciously put me up the last few nights. She was dropping off a hiker that she found in town along the way - trail magic coming full circle.
Spent the night in Burlington, had my final trail meal and gorged myself on $0.40 cent wings, some fries, and a local brew. Tomorrow I'll hop on a bus and spend the day traveling back to my home in Maine.
Done and done.
