Didn't get much sleep last night, woke up exhausted. Laid in the tent for almost and hour trying to will myself back to sleep.
Sleep didn't come, so I packed up and was out by 0815.
Bumped into another USFS trail crew, certainly are a lot of them out here. They say that they have better funding than a lot of the country, still seems crazy that it isn't all volunteers like on the AT.
Scenery wasn't the best today so I walked until around 1300 before stopping for lunch. Had two baloney and mayonnaise tortilla wraps along with some Fritos and cookies on the side.
Hot day today, wore the sun hat I found in a hiker box for most of the day. Water sources were running dry as well, had to pay attention and even then I ran dry a few times.
Ate dinner before arriving to camp, been hiking until late and it's easier to not have to worry about eating at the end of the day, especially when it's mosquito hell like at this campsite.
Mileage is respectable, but I'd like to do more. So far I haven't had to set an alarm to get up early, and I'd really like to avoid that, so we'll see how it goes.
Another night above 5,000 feet. It's eerily quiet up here.
