Didn't get a lot of sleep last night. Between settling up camp late, the gear problems, and the morning heating up quick, there just wasn't much time for sleeping.
Spent the morning finishing up the aqueduct section. While not much to look at, the flat section made forward progress swift and painless.
Stopped for some trail magic as the trail left the aqueduct and transitioned to a wind farm, fresh water, soda, snacks and crackers.
Day became pretty hot pretty fast. Spent six or seven miles climbing over 2,000 feet, and you could feel it. Extended water carry on top of that made it long day.
Stopped for a lunch break by a trickling stream, the whole area baking in the sun. Many hikers were stopping there for the day since they started early this morning instead of night hiking.
Couple of more miles up in the afternoon before dropping back down to the road leading into Tehachapi. Going to take a day or two off in town to rest and determine what makes sense for the upcoming and relatively early entry into the Sierra.
