Slow start this morning. Was pretty cold when I awoke with the sun, but I took my time getting moving.
Morning was uneventful, walked down off the ridge I slept on and to the base of the next pass. Bumped into a hiker named Pathfinder who's going for a calendar year triple crown attempt, and he was looking for company to head up and over the pass since he doesn't use a GPS.
Pathfinder and I hiked most of the day together, me route finding on point for him through the snowy passes. Despite his name, he isn't very good at navigating through the wilderness. Ate lunch together, hiked the second pass, and parted ways.
The terrain is incredibly beautiful and rugged in Yosemite. Once you get a feel for the passes, and the rhythm of walking up and over them through the snow, the environment because almost majestic.
Two days left, already getting a bit nostalgic for the trail as I mentally prepare to return to the real world.
