Day 86

Date: 30 May 2016 0933PM

Location: Campsite near Clark's Mountain Road

Today's Miles: 18.2

Total Miles: 1164.4

Back on the trail, dropped off near the fire station in Duncannon, PA where I left off. Pleasant morning, albeit a bit humid from the rain that fell last night.

Uneventful morning otherwise, good to be back on the trail. Bumped into some hikers who told me about a family picnic going on up the trail for Memorial Day, and that they welcome thru hikers with open arms. Fortuitous indeed.

Spent about an hour eating and chatting with random people. There were quite a few, all related. Picnic was at a cabin they own directly off the AT. They offered to let us sped the night, but it was early in the day and I needed to keep on moving.

Camped between shelters tonight, but not without an afternoon thunderstorm that soaked me through. Tomorrow will be fun, putting on wet socks, boots, and clothes, but there's not much I can do about that!
